The Intelligence and Defense Solutions (IDS) Business Unit within Riverside Research is comprised of exceptionally talented and dedicated individuals, working as a team, who assist IC and DoD customers in accomplishing their critical missions. Within IDS, we provide services spanning program management and advocacy, systems engineering, research and development, intelligence analytics, mission planning, and software engineering. IDS currently assists three national intelligence agencies, three U.S. Service Intelligence Centers, and a variety of additional clients serving national and tactical intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.


Riverside Research and the IDS Business Unit are seeking a full time Civil Engineer in the Dayton, OH area. This position will focus on facility design, construction, and project management for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Job Responsibilities:
• Provide professional Civil Engineering oversight for all of the customer’s facility projects by gathering and documenting user requirements and integrating new concepts in secure workplace design
• Prepare preliminary assessments of projects, determines its feasibility, and generates accurate and detailed records of engineering and project management data
• Conduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans
• Work cohesively with engineers to integrate the mechanical and electrical elements into a final product that exceeds customer expectations ensuring that the integrated design meets the customer’s goals, objectives and security requirements
• Evaluate cost estimates and occasionally provide estimated costs for proposed projects
• Other responsibilities include:
o Project Management & Project Schedules
o Design Reviews / Drawings, Specifications, Analysis , Submittals, Shop Drawings, Requirements Gathering and Documentation
o Code / Standards / Regulations Interpretation
o Secure Environment / Security Requirements
o Capture top level meeting minutes
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI US Government Security Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 5 years combined experience with private sector and Government projects
• Briefing Military/Government Councils
• Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel
• Proficiency in the use of Internet browsers and email
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to challenging situations as they occur

Desired Qualifications:
• Cross-functional engineering discipline knowledge (including electrical systems) a plus
• Performs a range of special projects related Civil Engineering project management
