Job Responsibilities:

As a Scrum Master you are the interface between project stakeholders and the development team, responsible for facilitating delivery of customer-defined software applications; basic responsibilities include:

• Serve as Scrum Master for two developmental scrum teams utilizing shared resources with a focus on guiding the teams toward improving the way they work; facilitating release planning, sprint planning, sprint retrospective and sprint demos
• Facilitate daily scrums, stand-ups, and meetings to monitor project progress and resolve any issues the team may be experiencing
• Act as Agile coach to help teams write more effective user stories/features/epics, identify dependencies, and design optimized solutions
• Track the progress of individual stories/features and work with assigned developers to accomplish stories/features on time
• Remove all obstacles to project team efficiency and effectiveness, reaching out to the larger corporate network for impediment removal to ensure cross-team coordination
• Maintain relevant metrics that help the team monitor capacity, progress, and velocity
• Take responsibility for managing product releases and dependencies between teams
• Ensure milestones are reached and deadlines are met throughout the project lifecycle
• Develop new and improve existing processes to enhance quality and productivity
• Document progress and communicate status to upper management and stakeholders
• Ensure the development teams are adhering to Agile practices and principles

Qualifications:

Requirements:
• Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Scrum Master and/or Agile coach leading technical teams
• Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. 10+ years' directly relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Five (5) or more years' experience in leading technical teams, preferably in software development
• Possess a Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master or SAFe Agilist certification with experience with Scrum teams
• Experience managing and updating epics, features, stories, and tasks in Atlassian JIRA and Confluence to extract sprint/release status and metrics
• Understand all elements of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Experience leading technical teams through sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, release management
• Experience tracking progress, providing leadership with status of sprints on a regular basis in easily digestible formats
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance

Desired Qualifications:
• Active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance (TS/SCI) strongly preferred
• Masters of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline
• Experience with continuous deployment models and Agile Methodologies
• Software development experience with VB.NET, C#.NET, Java, C/C++ preferred.
• Experience working on highly complex problems and developing solutions that are creative and innovative
